Wedding planner Mindy Weiss shared a number of awesome photos on Instagram showcasing the Saturday evening wedding of Jackelyn Mandel and Alex Shultz. She is the daughter of comedian Howie Mandel.
The nuptials took place at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles with the father of the bride making a toast to the newlyweds, who are planning a honeymoon in Greece.
Their wedding planner declared on Twitter, “Best father of the bride toast! @howiemandel”
The bride, a teacher, was surrounded by her maid of honor, seven bridesmaids and a bridesman. Her DJ groom had three best men, five groomsmen and one groomswoman.
Three young boys served as “Ring Security.” According to Mindy Weiss, “Only @howiemandel would make these darling ring bearer jackets!”
The bride and groom met in high school and remained pals for years before becoming romantically involved. Jackie revealed on her wedding website, “Alex would come over to my house and my mom would always ask me why we didn’t date. I would reply, ‘WE ARE JUST FRIENDS.'”
Her ‘America’s Got Talent’ dad previously related the same story on television and added emphatically, “It was inevitable they were going to get married.”
