NANDO’S lovers were excited when the new menus was unveiled, earlier this month.
The chicken chain announced the arrival of a new Fino Pitta as well as two new burgers for vegetarians and the hottest ever sauce, the Vusa Perinaise.

But now the initial excitement had died down, Nando’s loyal diners have discovered something is missing – as three of the menu favourites have quietly been dropped.
The Veggie Burger, the Fino Coleslaw and the Fino Platter have all disappeared from the menu – and customers are not happy about it.
The Nando’s Twitter page has been inundated with messages mourning the loss of the menu faves.
Disappointed veggie Kristy Philipps tweeted: “Really gutted @nandosuk got rid of their veggie burger. Was my faveeee, got me in your restaurant once a week.”

Becca Johnson write: “Umm have you quietly discontinued fino coleslaw? Not on the menu at my local anymore.”
Claudia tweeted: “Nandos: Bring back the only tasty veggie option.”
Jade Turney even started a petition on Change.org to bring back the veggie burger, which already had nearly 2,000 signatures.

Nando’s responded to the tweets by pointing the diners to the new menu, but that didn’t calm everyone down.
Laura added: “Nooo, bring back the veggie! We don't need another mashed up vegetable burger! Sweet potato? Yawn.”

— Becca Johnson (@BeeeJ_Johnson) October 18, 2017The Sweet Potato and Butternut Burger is described as being “packed full of the good stuff like sweet potato, butternut, red pepper, onion and edamame beans” and the Supergreen Burger has “everything from broccoli to edamame beans to kale.”
The new Fino Pitta is described as “an extra special Fino upgrade, as a toasted pitta is introduced to two flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken thighs, topped with grilled halloumi cheese, caramelised red onion relish, cos lettuce and wild garlic aioli mayonnaise.”
We have asked Nando’s for a comment.

Earlier, we revealed that the Wimpy burger chain is planning a big comeback.
We also revealed where the JD comes from in Wetherspoon’s brand name – and it’s nothing to do with the founder’s name.
